The flowers that started it all. *Kisses* for all of you! I loved the flowers! And I love y´all!! It was such a wonderful Mother´s Day and one that I´ll remember every time I take a picture. Thank you so much! (27 K)
The Kordes Perfecta hybrid tea is one of the most beautiful roses I have in my garden and the happy coincidence of receiving several of them in my Mother´s Day bouquet was just so wonderful. Every time this rose blooms, I stand and look at the flowers for long minutes each day. It´s just so incredible that those bright pink edges could be "painted" on each petal like that. (45 K)
I´ve loved Snapdragons since I was a little kid and picked the little yellow wildflowers that we called "butter and eggs". I have no idea what their real name is, but I do remember that it was such fun to squeeze the sides of them to make them open and close their "mouths" and, to this day, I can´t resist doing it. If anyone knows their proper name, I sure would love it if you´d drop me a note. (21 K)
I had two Stargazer Lilies in my garden last year and they were so beautiful that I just had to make room for two more this year. They really are exquisite, and have the most wonderful fragrance. You can smell them all over the house. It would be so nice someday to have enough of them that there could always be one or two in the house during the summer. (36 K)
I wish I knew the name of this rose. I´d make room for it in my garden somewhere. It had a very spicy-sweet fragrance but it needed to have its stem snipped every day or it had a tendency to droop. But it kept that nice just-opening rosebud shape for well over a week. (25 K)
Someday I´ll figure out what I´m doing wrong that the perennial Carnations in my garden just never look as good as the ones that florists grow. Mine are usually so small that they look more like Asters. But they sure do smell nice. I just love that cinnamony smell. (37 K)
The florist certainly did a beautiful job of selecting the flowers for this bouquet. I can´t imagine a better blending of color than these three. I just wish the baby pink roses had lasted until the camera arrived. Their edges turned brown and it just wasn´t possible to get a good picture of them. (29 K)
