Pet Peeves

(Things that make me see red!)

If you´re guilty of pushing any of these buttons, RUN!

Most things people do just make me laugh. Human nature is really pretty funny, most of the time. And I really am good natured, most of the time. But there are a few things that some people do that just plain make me crazy. Not just annoyed, but downright irrationally Postal Worker crazy!

People who say something mean and hurtful and then immediately add, "Just kidding!"

-- You were not kidding! If you hadn´t meant it, you wouldn´t have said it! And "Just kidding!" is not synonymous with "I´m sorry I hurt your feeling!"

Sales people who get annoyed when I want to buy the thing they´re selling.

-- Smile and be nice to me if you want my money!

People who ask me for my "opinion" and then immediately try to change my mind.

-- If you want to argue, go pick a fight someplace else. If not, just listen politely to my opinion and go away if you don´t agree with it.

People who ask for my help with their computer and then get annoyed because I start asking them questions.

-- I can´t help you if I don´t have all the information I need. I keep asking you more questions because you still haven´t told me enough that I can understand what the real problem is. If you continue to display your annoyance at my desire to help you, perhaps next time I´ll just suggest you read the book!

Speaker phones.

-- I didn´t call to talk to your room. I called to talk to you! Put the phone up to your ear and pay attention to me. If you´ve got your hands full right now, then just don´t answer the phone. I can always call back later.

People who call me at home to ask for a donation and then tell me they have a minimum contribution.

-- Hey, folks! I´ll bet my minimum is lower than yours! How´s zero sound?

Run, before you do something to really annoy me!
